Fear-Full, as an author
I never set out to write a book. I set out to answer a question that kept showing up in my own life and in the lives of nearly everyone I love: how do I stop letting fear run the show ?
Fear-Full · The Daily Brave is an 84-day guided journal for people who are tired of letting fear make their decisions. One page a day for twelve weeks. It is not a book you read. It is a book you live, one morning at a time. Each day has three parts: an inner exercise to write, draw, feel or explore before the day begins; one small daily action to take into the world, using what you just uncovered; and a journal prompt, so the day turns into meaning.
You do not need to be ready. You just need to begin.
Real change takes more time than we usually give it. One often-cited study of habit formation (Lally and colleagues, 2010) found that a new everyday behaviour took an average of 66 days to become automatic, and that was for simple habits. This journal asks for something deeper: a change in your relationship with fear. Eighty-four days is twelve complete weeks, one season of your life. I believe it is enough time to become someone your fear no longer controls.
Twelve weeks · twelve frameworks
Each week draws on one established body of work, somatic, psychological or contemplative, translated into seven daily practices. The full acknowledgements are printed in the book.

I wanted to make something honest enough for the version of me that needed it ten years ago, and beautiful enough that you would actually pick it up in the morning. What you hold is a slow, generous sequence: one prompt a day, one small brave act a day, one line from someone wiser than me, and a quiet page to write on. No spiritual bypass. Just twelve weeks of sitting with what is real, in the company of teachers I trust, and a structure gentle enough that you can keep going on the days you do not want to.
It is for people living with the quiet kind of fear. Not the dramatic, movie version, but the fear that keeps you in the wrong job, the wrong relationship, the wrong version of yourself. It asks for a few minutes each morning, a pen, and the willingness to keep going on the days you would rather not.

This journal is not therapy, and it does not replace professional help. If you are in crisis or working through trauma, please use it alongside a qualified professional, not instead of one.
